Critical Statement for Andrew Wyeth's Groundhog Day
I love this movie! Bill Murray is so funny, oh my god. But I didn't really get it, was he supposed to be dead or something? Whatever, that groundhog was really cute!

In a related note, I ran a search for carcinogen, potato harmless "of the leg" -syst.
I got a result.
I don't know which is weirder, that I ran the search or that I got a result. I'm completely mystified. I can see a relationship between carcinogen, syst and harmless. But it specifically can not have the word syst in it! Maybe its a misspelling.
I think it is.
I think its cyst.
poo.
updated several seconds later
I ran it so that it was excluding the word "cyst" and I got the same result.
Bizarre.

Just ran a search for "honky tonk" + "karl rove".
The Film Threat link contains the words "nude honky tonk."
Just doing my part.

I've been reading some of the forums at a lyrics site. There is one section called "Lyrics Explained" which is particularly upsetting. People ask for an explanation for every simple song out there. Its like they only think literally, or they can't make intellectual leaps. Its sickening.
Not knowing how to contextualize is often a problem, too. There's a song about the Donner Party that someone didn't understand, because they had never heard of it!
My mom is getting her Masters in Gifted and Talented education(or something comparable) and she told me that only 15% of the population(I think) have adult level ethics. If this is true it is more than possible that a majority of the population also has a hard time with abstraction, contextualization, metaphor and whatnot. They could be all around you. They could be reading this post.
Weird.

Right. So, I watched Game 7 today. Well, from the 8th on. It was interesting. I've never considered myself a sports fan at all, not even really into the ones I play(ed). But baseball fascinated me tonight. Its an interesting choice for the American Passtime. You've got guys of a much more diverse age span than any other sport, with varying athletic abilities and gut sizes, essentially standing around playing catch. And people watch this and are absolutely ravenous! Its incredibly weird.
A massive portion of the United States, people who might be agreeable people normally, turn into flaming wackos, frothing at the mouth, yelling and screaming horrible things and doing everything short of (hopefully) flinging feces. And rioting! Much rioting! Over a game where a replacement runner steps in because the guy who hit the ball can't run 360 feet.
Its somewhat surreal.

I have come to the conclusion that on no account should you ever, I repeat ever, eat peanuts.
Now I love peanuts.. I really like how they taste. But there could be something unfortunate that happens, some emergency, that forces you to run immediately after eating said peanuts.
This running will cause you to vomit.
And it will be the most foul, vile, tactile vomit ever.
Never eat a peanut.

We had to do a writing exercise for my scriptwriting class where someone's mood changes. Just a little snippet from something. I like mine, it makes me laugh for some sick reason.
Tom, 23, walks casually down the sidewalk. He's whistling a love song and has a bounce in his step. Under one arm is a box of chocolates, in the other hand is a bouquet of roses. He jumps up a small flight of stairs to an apartment landing, checks his hair in the reflection on the shiny knocker and raps smartly on the door, donning his best smile.
"Kelly!" he calls, "Your amoré has arrived!"
A window opens above him, a small redheaded woman, Kelly, sticks her head out.
"I'm sorry, Tom," she says, "But I'm in love with someone else."
Tom's body deflates as the chocolates drop to the ground.
I think its the chocolates that make me laugh

Here is a poem that Bonnie Parker, of Bonnie and Clyde fame, wrote.
In the pictures of the tombstones at the bottom note the text on Clyde's.
It says "Gone but not forgotten."
Perhaps the truest words one could put there.

This is one of the better ideas of my lifetime.
I have recently become a "full fledged" member. I have been a member for a while, but I released my first book today, A Darkness More Than Night, by Michael Connely. I bought it in Sweden, I read through all the books I had brought with me, so its got a travel behind it already. I left it in the back of a car with Texas plates. The window was open, so I just dumped the book in.
Should be interesting.
