I know its been a while. I was on extremely important and secret, top secret, of course, business for the government in France.
Already I've said too much.
I got some Milanos for Christmas (that wasn't all, because if it was, boy, I'd have to think of some way to finish this sentence) but they came in an unusual packaging scheme. There are five in a package. Its laid out so that two are in a stack, then one is on a raised bit of plastic and then there's another stack of two. One would think it'd be easier to just sell six, but maybe the plastic needs to be bent that way for structural reasons. Or maybe the powers that be had access to these machines at the outset or something. Or maybe its just stupid. And what's more, the serving suggestion says a recommended size is 3 cookies. But only five come in a package. It says there are "about 2" servings per container. This strikes me as just plain weird. Why not change the specifications on a serving? Make the math be done on the production end, not the consumer end. Consumers hate doing math. At least this one does.
But they are tasty cookies. Among the more divine, if you ask me.
Which you didn't. But you're at this site voluntarily.
Although not for long, I bet.
Sigh.

I don't know if its a problem with everyone, but I feel like I repress a lot of emotions. Not any in particular, just the whole melange. Emotion should play a more powerful part in my creative endeavors. I'd like what I'm feeling to play in more, for the creation of a movie to have as much meaning as the final piece. I'd like catharsis with it. I'm afraid, though. I'm afraid of what I'll feel. I'm afraid of what others will feel. I'm afraid of everything being different afterwards. Which it would, of course. But change is good, isn't it?
I think that is part of the reason I created Pomo. I think emotions will flow through him more freely. If I do it right. If I don't I'll wind up thinking, "What will people think of this?" It'll collapse. I'd like to have a good cleansing spiritual case of the shits, I guess. Clear off the excess baggage and start anew. Strike a proverbial fault line in the tectonic plates of my concious/unconcious. Wipe the slate clean. Flip the etch-a-sketch of my mind and shake till its clean. Flush away the detritus in the toilet of my subconsious.
etc.
I'll do it. Fuck what people think. Fuck what I think. My experimental movie will tap into some emotional vein.
But what if people don't like it?

I'm an atheist, but I'm not practicing.
From here on in you shouldn't read this, because if you do and it influences you I've become a hypocrite. Don't make me a hypocrite.
I think the biggest problem with religion is that it keeps telling you you're right and everyone else is wrong and you need to change everyone else to be right. Most of the major religions say this. It leads to death. Which, if I'm not mistaken, is not what [your deity here] wants. Unless you're a satanist or whatever, then you can kill to your hearts content. Just don't think you're convincing me to.
There are very few people upon whom you can impress your beliefs. Your kids. Your significant other (but stop if s/he resists a lot!). That's about it, I'd say. Do it too much and you'll piss them off and then a war will start.
The point is this: I hope you believe what you want and are happy and comfortable doing it. I hope that you don't push your beliefs on others.
Anyway, that's my piece. I hope you didn't read it.

I'm engrossed in this anonymous confessional website: grouphug.us. Its hilarious, weird, infuriating and depressing. It hilarious when people put pranks they did, some of the drunk antics are humorous, too. Its weird when people confess to things like fucking cucumbers or brothers. Its infuriating when people confess to stupid shit. Things like "I pick my nose." That's stupid. Its not a confession. People who confess to masturbating in general bother me too. Its like they think they're hugely different.
By far the worst is the depressing stuff. People who confess that they're gay here because they're too afraid of what will happen if they confess in real life. People who confess that they cry after masturbating and are worried that they're going to hell. They shouldn't have to suffer and be all twisted up inside for having natural feelings. Some posts are particularly heart breaking. One woman desperately wanted babies, but her boyfriend didn't. She poked holes in his condom. He has AIDS, now she does too.
Others say she brought it on herself, which I suppose is true if stupid. I think its so sad that she wanted to share love and got a death sentence. Too many people go through life terribly unhappy and loveless, its nice when it gets a chance to spread. Its terrible when it is rejected.

Apparently there is action being taken to put Reagan on the dime in place of FDR, the current resident. This is the most ridiculous idea. I mean, there certainly is a connection to money and Reagan as he kept doubling our national debt, but Roosevelt pulled us out of the depression. Actually, you know, I see their point. Lets put Reagan on the dime. He only bowed to terrorists and dealt arms. What did Roosevelt really do for us? All he did was create thousands of jobs, re-inflate the economy from record setting lows, make well informed decisions and bring America together as a nation. Reagan certainly didn't set any Americans against each other. Or fund terrorists. He was a pretty great president, probably the best ever.
Now lets talk about putting Strom Thurman on the penny.

Alright, I'm assuming all the readers have heard the "shaving more makes hair grow faster" thing. I think that's bullshit. I haven't read anything about it either way, but it doesn't make any sense. Assuming it is true, guys would have to shave off full length beards two or three times a day by the time they are fifty. Just with regular shaving. Since I know of no one who has that affliction, I think we can assume the theory is false. What probably really happens is just the opposite, we get older. Men don't stop going through puberty until their 20s. So when guys realize they have to shave more, they probably think "Hey, I have to shave more. What have I been doing differently...I've been...shaving more! That must be why!" When in reality they are just getting older. Its the opposite of what they think. The hair grows more, so they have to shave more.

Its hard to get back in the swing of writing these little blurbs. Even after a two week break. It changes the way the mind works. I can't...sentences...nothing seems to form in my head. I don't notice little things and expound upon them as much. So, I'm forcing myself to write. I must! There will be a post. I will succeed in the effort. OK.
If the mind changes, adapts, if you will, so quickly to a new situation one would think that we wouldn't stereotype older people as "out of it" technology wise. Perhaps there is a connection with age. Or maybe its a dietary thing. Why can't some people seem to wrap their minds around things? I know I don't do math well. The concepts require much pounding in to stick. There isn't anything solid for me, really. It seems like there's something else that I have a hard time doing. I'm sure that somewhere work is being done on trying to explain why the mind doesn't get things for some people. Maybe I can volunteer and get paid to have a better understanding of myself.
That said, I hear there are sleep studies at the University of Rochester. I think I may need to volunteer to sleep for pay.

I just found out that babies can be deemed "unadoptable" because they've been neglected for so much of their life already.
Which makes sense, because giving them the attention they need would be foolish. I mean, what's the point of trying to raise them in a healthy fashion after they've displayed some anti-social tendencies as a result of losing their parents? They need love, and there are parents happy to give it, but they've got some bad tendencies as a result of neglect, so we'll neglect them more.
Its a flawless plan.
